Jo Cubbon
Jo trained as a Nurse and Health Visitor and worked clinically in both the UK and Russia. Jo became a Chief Executive in 2000 and worked in a number of acute Trust as a CEO until 2015.
Her interest in patient safety and staff engagement developed initially in her years as a nurse and continued as she became a Chief Executive. She has always been passionate about developing strong values and behaviours in teams and has led organisations believing firmly that consistent performance and care for patients is borne out of people knowing what is expected of them and being supported to deliver success with a set of behaviours which are consistent with strong values.
Jo also works as a magistrate in both family and adult work in the South West of England.

Dr Peter Carter OBE
Dr Peter Carter was the Chief Executive of the Royal College of Nursing from January 2007 to August 2015.The RCN is the world's largest professional union of nurses, with a membership of over 430,000 nurses, midwives, health visitors, nursing students and healthcare assistants. Before assuming the post Peter spent almost twelve years as the Chief Executive of the Central and North West London NHS Trust, one of the largest mental health trusts in the UK. Peter trained as a psychiatric and general nurse. He has, during his career, been awarded the OBE for services to the NHS in the 2006 New Years Honours List, and education is an integral part of his working life. He has achieved both an MBA and PhD from the University of Birmingham, as well as honorary degrees from three Universities as well as other notable awards. During his time at the RCN Peter has brought financial stability to the RCN as well as raising the profile of nursing, particularly in the media. Peter remains passionate about effective, efficient and safe patient care but also that the nursing profession has much to offer in the challenges that face the NHS as a whole, with incredibly talented and gifted nurses working right across the spectrum. He remains committed to nurses leading by example.

Rod Anthony
Rod is an experienced finance professional, board director, and management consultant. With many years of experience working in both the public and private sectors, Rod brings a unique blend of skills and experiences. Having most recently been engaged by the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement, initially as Director of Finance and Corporate Services, and latterly as Interim Managing Director, Rod has a deep knowledge and understanding of the healthcare sector and healthcare innovation and improvement. Building upon this experience, Rod now manages a portfolio of interests. He currently works with a number of healthcare related businesses, roles which he undertakes in both a consulting and advisory capacity. He is also a Director, and Chair of Audit Committee, at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in Birmingham.Rod's career includes senior roles within Reuters Plc (Corporate Finance), Glaxo Plc (both in UK commercial and Group roles), Forensic Science Service Limited (overseeing the growth of the business from a turnover of �28m to �160m) and the Gambling Commission (establishing the financial and risk frameworks in preparation for the Gambling Act). Rod has also supported a number of private equity projects, primarily in the scientific and healthcare sectors. Building upon these unique experiences and skills, Rods true passion is to combine his commercial and public service knowledge and experience to drive improvement and innovation within healthcare, with patients and the public being the ultimate beneficiary.
