Management Team

Andy McGrath – Owner and CEO

Andy has over 30 years experience in industry and the public sector. He has built, coached and led many teams to improve performance by changing the way teams think. Over the past 13 years Andy has, in partnership with over 30 health and social care teams, supported operational performance improvement, financial recovery and turnaround and delivered sustainable behavioural change. Andy is also a family man who is passionate about supporting young entrepreneurs through University undergraduate and MBA programs.

Lyndsey McGrath – Owner and Finance Director

After a successful 20 year career with one of the top ten financial institutions Lyndsey has used her professional background and proven track record in creating administration and accountancy systems to support the growth of Alamac. She plays a fundamental role in ensuring the smooth running the company for the benefit of the entire team and company clients.

Jo Cubbon – Chairman

Jo trained as a Nurse and Health Visitor and in 2000 became a CEO in the NHS, a position she successfully held in a number of Trusts until 2016. She has always been passionate about developing strong values and behaviours in teams and has led successful NHS organisations believing firmly that consistent performance and care for patients is borne out of people knowing what is expected of them. Jo also works as a family magistrate in the South West of England and is a Non Executive for Plymouth Argyle Football Club.

Sarah McGovern – COO

Sarah is a highly experienced NHS clinician, who quickly demonstrates strong and credible leadership skills among colleagues and clients working with her. After training originally as a physiotherapist, with a ‘can do’ attitude Sarah rapidly progressed in her NHS career to take on a range of business development, performance and strategic management roles. With a background in provision of health care services, Sarah is an advocate of integrated health and social care services, supported by effective care coordination and performance improvement systems. She has completed international research in this field.

Sam Alsop-Hall – Director of Commercial Services and Business Development
BA (Hons)

Sam started his career with a FTSE listed healthcare Recruitment business. He quickly demonstrated the work ethic, commercial awareness and salesmanship to rise through the ranks into a Senior Management role across a number of sectors. Following this success Sam was asked to join another FTSE listed recruitment business where he established and grew a multi-million pound turnover business unit within a short period of time. Sam joined Alamac in July 2018 as a Board Director with the remit of helping the business scale and provide even more value to the NHS. Sam is also on the Charity Board of Action for Children, one of the UKs largest children’s charities.

Senior Leadership Team

Paul Brandwood
BSc (Hons) MPhil

Paul has over 20 years’ experience, 13 of which have been with the NHS.  Working as the Business Intelligence Manager, implementing an award-winning, full stack Microsoft Business Intelligence solution providing real-time analytics across the hospital.  Paul has completed a wide range of modelling and information and business intelligence projects, striving to make information useful and understandable but also beautiful and innovative. Paul graduated from university with a BSc (Hons) and a MPhil in molecular biology, specifically focussed on the genetic causes of Acute Myeloid Leukaemia

Michael Henderson

Michael joined Alamac as a Senior Quality and Delivery Specialist in January 2018. Michael has an MSc in Leadership and Service Improvement from the University of Manchester and has significant experience in operational management and project management in the health service in Northern Ireland, working on system wide improvement programmes in emergency care, surgery and outpatients.

Kerry Lawler

Kerry joined Alamac as a Senior Data Analyst in September 2015. Kerry develops bespoke reports and customised programs that help clients analyse their data in the most effective and intelligent way. She is committed to improving performance for the health and wellbeing of patients. Prior to joining Alamac, Kerry held several permanent and contracting roles within both private and public sector as an MI Developer

Amanda Morgan
BSc Psychology and Health Studies RGN

As a senior nurse with 30 years of NHS experience, Amanda has a combination of clinical and operational management experience. Amanda is an experienced leader of teams and projects which have included providing clinical leadership for mergers between hospitals. She retains a strong patient focus, and is passionate about working with staff at all levels of organizations so that the desire for improvement is owned by the people best placed to enact it.

Jonny Morgan
MSc BSc PGCert

Jonny joined Alamac in May 2016 having previously worked in NHS management for a number of years. With a Masters’ degree in Health Informatics he graduated through the NHS Management Training Scheme. Jonny believes that long lasting change within healthcare systems is only achieved through strong relationships, collaborative working and evidence-based decision making, and an energy and enthusiasm for working alongside large teams, he is passionate about supporting clinicians and managers to deliver sustainable improvements together.
