What is G-Cloud?
G-Cloud aims to provide simple and streamlined procurement processes for public-sector bodies to buy commodity IT services that use cloud computing. Suppliers on G-Cloud sign-up to a series of framework agreements with CCS, from which public sector organisations can buy services without needing to run a full tender or competition procurement process.
Crown Commercial Service supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services. In 2019/20, CCS helped the public sector to achieve commercial benefits worth over £1bn – supporting world-class public services that offer best value for taxpayers.
