British sport has seen yet another summer of successes, from England men’s cricket team winning the Cricket World Cup and a fantastic performance from British cyclists in the Tour De France to the women’s England football and netball teams reaching the semi-finals in their respective world cups. It’s a far cry from a low point in the world of British sport 20 years ago. The changes have been small and gradual yet yielded impressive results. Is the approach of using data to evidence and support incremental gains something that could help the NHS to make sustainable improvements for the future?
